- I am a veteran educator in a school district in coastal South Carolina. This has allowed me to see teachers' needs for cross-curricular material that will address academic standards in varied and engaging ways. My hope is to create a series of books in a coastal setting that serve that purpose. My husband and I have lived in South Carolina for almost 30 years and are privileged to have two daughters, five grandchildren and one dalmation.
